This post features student writing.

We started our day with building a garbage hut! We had to mix our own cement and place the concrete blocks. After this, we headed back to Portsmouth to get more supplies for the garbage hut. We returned to the pizza place for lunch and looked for snacks at a local store. We then drove back home and took a short siesta. When we woke up, we continued painting the bus stop in Anse Soldat. Our final design is going to be a tree. After getting covered in paint, we went to the river to bathe and do laundry. Finally, we got back to the resource center to find a delicious meal of salad, fish, and plantains waiting for us, kindly prepared by nice locals. We also started our individual projects, summer fun camp, and other work projects. The group is doing well and everyone loves it here!
